Joseph Berthiaume, age 81, passed away on March 8, 2021 from Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 19, 1939 in Springfield, a son of the late Roland L. Berthiaume and Clementine (Misisco) Berthiaume. Joseph joined the US Army and served during Vietnam. After being honorable discharged, he served in the US Air Force Reserves during Dessert Strom. He later worked as a custodian for the US Post Office for many years before he retired. He is predeceased by his wife Carolyn (Caviccholi) Berthiaume who passed away on April 5, 2020, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Joseph is survived by his daughter Nancy Kirkpatrick and her husband Brian Kirkpatrick Sr., of Chicopee; one brother John Berthiaume of CA, and two loving grandsons Brian Kirkpatrick II and his wife Phoebe and Spencer Kirkpatrick and his wife Melissa, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Burial will take place in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
