Joanne L. (Carlson) Volpe, age 77 of Brockton, died peacefully on March 3, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. Joanne was the loving wife of Sisto Volpe for 57 years. Born and raised in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (White) Carlson. Joanne was a graduate of N. Quincy High School. She raised her five children in Brockton where she lived for 48 years. She was an Executive Secretary for Volpe Realtors and Sisto Volpe Construction.
Joanne had many friends both in Brockton and her second home in Florida. An active member of the Sons of Italy of Brockton and Cape Coral Social Club, Joanne will be missed by many.
Joanne was the loving mother of Michael Volpe and his fiancée Edith Kuiee of Taunton, Steven Volpe of West Bridgewater, Susan Volpe and her husband Jim Morris of Boxford, Francine Joyce and her husband Patrick of Raynham and Peter Volpe and his wife Rebecca of Taunton; grandmother of Joseph, Anthony and Vincent Ferretti, Christina Lincoln, and Julia and Nicholas Volpe. She was the sister of Barbara Morrisey of Hanson and the late John Carlson, Louise Booth and Doris Coolidge. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, March 11, 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Friday at 11:30, followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery. Following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed. There is a maximum of 50 people in the funeral home at any one time.
