Dion Williams Moore died on March 6, 2021. Born to Patricia and Leonard Moore in 1939, Dion grew up in Brooklyn with his brother Leonard Moore (predeceased), and his sisters Sarah Moore Hallberg and Margot Moore Greener. He served in the Navy followed by college at Denison and law school at Ohio State.
He was an accomplished attorney with the firms of Pullman, Comley, Bradley & Reeves and Williams Cooney & Sheehy. He retired from practice in 2005.
He was married to Patricia Zuber Moore (predeceased) and Ann May Moore (predeceased). He is survived by his four children Courtney Moore (husband, Toby Halsey), John Parker Moore (wife, Catalina Moore), Fletcher Williams Moore and Gwendolyn Calla Moore (husband, Matthew Gelb) and three beautiful grandsons, Beecher Williams Gelb, Wyatt Joseph Gelb and John Taylor Gelb.
He was a masterful storyteller who loved playing the banjo, listening to records, chopping wood and working outside every day. Dion was generous, loving, stubborn and independent to the end. He will be sorely missed.
A private celebration of life will be held in his memory. Charitable donations may be made to Avalonia Land Trust or Mystic Museum of Art.
