Obituary

LEICESTER - Alexander Milosh, 89, of 469 Marshall Street died Saturday, July 20 at home.

His wife of 42 years, Ester E. (Larrabee) Milosh died in 1990. He leaves a son Michael A. Milosh, a daughter-in-law Deborah, a grandson Michael A. Milosh Jr. all of Leicester with whom he lived; a sister Sally Caforio, wife of Michael J. Caforio of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers Edward, William and John Milosh and three sisters Maragret Cross, Catherine Domkowski, and Marian Lavin predeceased him. He was born in Worcester son of Daniel and Catherine (Miczkiewicz) Milosh and lived there for most of his life.

Mr. Milosh worked in many factories including U.S. Steel as a wire drawer before getting drafted into the navy, where he served in the 105th naval construction battalion, as a machinist mate, 3rd class heavy equipment operator, stationed in the South Pacific, during World War II. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After the war he worked at the VFW Post #3657 in Worcester on Ballard Street as head bartender for 40 years.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 24 at 10 AM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday July 23 from 5 to 8 Pm in the funeral home. in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
