Carol Y. (Hildenbrand) Bland, 80, of Anderson, passed away peacefully with family at home on Saturday, March 6, 2021 following a year long illness.
She was born on March 8, 1940 in Pleasantville, Indiana, the daughter of Claude and Essie (Carrico) Hildenbrand. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening and time spent with her family.
She is survived by three children; Lisa (Jim Tisdale) Bland ; Karen Bland, and Jerry L. Bland II all of Anderson; five grandchildren, Wade (Malissa) Robbins, Kyle Robbins, Clay (Breanna) Craib, Cameron Bland and Cale Bland; great grandson, Andrew Craib; three siblings, Mary Hildenbrand of Anderson, Esther (Bill) Harbin of Franklin and Margaret Hildebrand of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jerry L. Bland in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Froman Hildenbrand, Mildred Hildenbrand, Ilene Dove, Virginia Moberly, and Maryfair Hildenbrand.
Private graveside services will be held at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson officiated by Pastor Phil Rogers.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The Bland family extends their gratitude to all the loving caregivers, Dr. Rimawi and staff who graciously cared for Carol during her illness.
