Dorothy "Dot" Black, 85, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Dot was born on July 23, 1935 in Turner County to the late William Sydney and Nora Belle Pitts Taylor. She worked at Manhattan Pants Factory and was a homemaker. She was also a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi (Richard) Rogers of Sycamore; grandchild, Charity (Andrew) Layton of Sycamore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be enforced. While there will be no formal visitation with the family of Mrs. Black present, for those who wish you may sign the guest register and pay your respects Tuesday, March 9, 2021 form 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
