Pamela A. (Carreiro) Bouchard, 60, of New Bedford died March 4, 2021 at home after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Leo J. Bouchard, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Patricia (Smith) Carreiro, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was employed as a licensed optician at Lens Crafters and Sears Optical. She was also a waitress at Angelo's Orchid Diner.
She truly enjoyed her title as "Grammie" spending time with her grandchildren and making memories with her family. She also enjoyed sunflowers, cooking, trips to Florida with her family, trips to the casino and the company of her dog Bentlee. Pamela took pride in owning a Volkswagen Bug.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jason Bouchard and his wife Morgan of St. Petersburg, FL; a daughter, Kaitlyn Amaral and her husband Filipe of Acushnet; and 4 grandchildren, Noah Amaral, Elijah Bouchard, Owen Amaral and Lucas Bouchard.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10 AM in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown. Her family will receive guests at church from 9 AM - 10 AM prior to her Mass. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
