Obituary

On Thursday, March 4th, 2021, Robert (Bob) E. Stricker, loving husband, father of
two, grandfather of four, and great grandfather of six, passed away at the age of 100. Bob was
born on February 27, 1921 in Dauphin, PA to Lewis and Bessie (Lebo) Stricker. He graduated
from William Penn High School in June, 1940, and moved to Baltimore to pursue a career at
Glen L. Martin (now Lockheed Martin) where he spent 46 years as a machinist. Bob contributed
to the national defense wartime efforts at Martin, before answering the call of country and
joining the United States Navy in 1944. After returning from service in WWII, On March 13,
1948, he married Margaret Louise Ghee. Together they raised two children, Diane and Robert
(Bob). Bob was a proud lifetime member of the American Legion - Parkville Post 183, and a
beloved neighbor and friend to fellow residents of Loch Raven Heights. He will be remembered
for his lifelong devotion to family, community, and country.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Louise; father Lewis, and mother Bessie; brother
Edward, and son Bob. He is survived by his daughter Diane Phillips, daughter-in-law Darla Lyle,
sister Nancy Poffenberger, grandchildren Marlayna Beach, Tiffany Kehler, Zachary Stricker, and
Olivia Stricker, great-grandchildren Emily, Andrew, Isabella, Adelaide, Charlotte, and Sebastian,
and several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will hold closed memorial services at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home, after which Bob will be laid to rest at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens alongside his wife and son. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the care providers at Glen Meadows Retirement Community.
