Mr. Richard ”Rick” Monroe Seagroves III,52, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Memorial Hospital, with his loving wife by his side.
Rick was a den leader and assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 295 for many years. He was able to help mold the lives of many young boys to become the men they are today. Other hobbies he enjoyed were spending time outside fishing and hunting. Above all, Rick's greatest joy and most memorable times were those of spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Monroe Seagroves.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 25 years, Darlene Seagroves; mother, Marilyn Seagroves of Rincon; sons, Richard Monroe Seagroves IV of Guyton, and Justin Edwin Douglas (Jayme) of Register, Georgia; daughters, Jennie Darlene Johnson of Middleburg, Florida, and Jamie Dajuan Blackmore (Jason) of Springfield; sister, Toni Corbitt (Jeff) of Rincon; grandchildren, Rebecca Shea, Allie Shea, Kayden Sanders, George Sanders, Chase Douglas, and Mason Douglas; nieces, Kristen Gray and Shannon Gray; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. James Griffin officiating. The family requests that masks be worn during the service and social distancing be observed.
