WORCESTER: Carol A. (Brooks) Johnston, 69, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Her husband of 34 years, Andrew W. “Andy” Johnston, died July 30, 2008.
She leaves a daughter, Karrie A. Johnston of Spencer; a son, Peter A. Johnston with whom she lived; a brother, Armand “Archie” Brooks of Kingston; three sisters, Rita Ballou of Douglas, Amanda Aubin of Oakham, Faye Sargent of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Denise F. Batchelder of Worcester; a brother-in-law, Paul S. Johnston and his wife Carol of Auburn; two grandchildren, Riley W. Johnston of Worcester and Anthony A. Leite of Spencer, and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Lyndonville, VT and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Regis H. and Catherine M. (Bedard) Brooks. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade High School and lived in Worcester most of her life.
Carol worked at various jobs over the years including being a bookkeeper at Home Depot before she retired. She enjoyed spending time with family and sewing. She will be remembered for being a talented seamstress and making personalized gifts for others.
Due to the current pandemic, entrance to the funeral home or church
will require wearing a mask and social distancing restrictions.
There are no calling hours. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 A.M. on MONDAY, MARCH 8th in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St., followed by burial in Hope Cemetery.
