Norma Coppock Oreb, 92, of Ventura, CA, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021. Norma was born in Sydney, Australia to William Spencer Augustus Crow and Maude Evans Crow on February 21, 1929. She graduated early from high school at age 16 and taught ballroom dancing with her sister Daphne.
She was a WWII war bride and left her homeland at age 17 to emigrate to the U.S. in 1946 to reunite with her U.S. Navy husband, Knoel Douglas Coppock, with her newborn daughter, Adele Anne Coppock.
She loved to swing dance, enjoyed playing cards with friends, lovingly knitted beautiful blankets, sweaters, and scarves, and quilted gorgeous blankets for her adoring family.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Adele Beardsley and son-in-law, Dennis Beardsley of Ventura, granddaughter, Kellie Lambert and grandson-in-law Steve Lambert of Orange, and great-grand-children Hudson Lambert and Carter Lambert. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Knoel Douglas Coppock, brother, Jack Crow, brother, Ted Crow, sister, Daphne Crow, and second husband Edward Oreb of Ventura.
A private family graveside service will be held in April. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Aegis Living for taking such loving care of her in her final years, especially during this past year during the COVID pandemic.
