FLORIDA – Jose C. Sousa, age 63, of Bunnell, FL, passed away on February 28, 2021 at Advent Health Hospital in Palm Coast, FL. Prior to moving to FL he was a 20-year resident of Bristol, RI. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose and Diamantina (Rego) DoRego.
Jose was the father of Joseph Sousa (fiancé Jessica) of Taunton, Kerry Sousa and Madison Sousa, both of Mobile, AL and Daniel Sousa (wife Julissa) of Westport; brother of João Rego of Canada, Maria Rogue of Westport, Conceição Martins, Fatima Rego, Natalia Amaral and Luis Sousa, all of Fall River; grandfather of Mason Sousa and Abigail Sousa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a mass of Christian burial at St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. on Monday, March 8th. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, March 7th from 2-5 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, Fall River.
