Lori Byther, 66

Lori (Benaski) Byther, age 66, of Taunton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of James M. Byther, Sr., to whom she was wed on February 14, 1995.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 9, 1954, she was a loving daughter of the late Lorraine M. (Petersen) Benaski and the late Ronald A. Benaski.
Lori grew up in Norton and was a 1972 graduate of Norton High School. She had made her home in Taunton for the past forty-seven years and for many years, worked as a caregiver at the Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton.
Lori’s happiest times were those spent with her adoring family. She took exceptional care of many people throughout the years and will always be remembered as a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted sons: Eric Rugg and his wife Laura of Dighton and James Byther, Jr. of Middleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Kelly Berube and Ashley Byther and the great grandmother of Ayden Galuski. She was the dear sister of Cheryl Andrade of Taunton, Debbie Silvia of Taunton, Kathleen Rodriguez of Taunton, Brenda Benaski of Falmouth and Ronald Benaski of Berkley. She is also survived by her loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours are omitted and at a later date, when things are safer, a service in celebration of her life will be held.
