FALL RIVER – Maria O. Aguiar, age 85 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 in the comforts of her own home with her loving family by her side. Born July 30, 1935 in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores to the late Manuel and Elvira (Pimentel) Oliveira. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Aguiar
Prior to retiring, Maria worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for local textile mills. She was a Communicant of Santo Christo Church. In her past time, Maria loved to spend quality time with her family.
Maria is survived by her five sons: Joseph Aguiar (wife Natalia) of Fall River, Leonardo Aguiar (wife Ana Paula) of Swansea, Abel Aguiar (wife Carolina), Michael Aguiar, and William Aguiar all of Fall River; her sister: Mary Oliveira of Miami, FL; four grandchildren: Brandon, Cameron, Chelsea, and Karina Aguiar; and many nieces & nephews. Maria was the sister of the late Conceicão Moniz & Manuel Pimentel
Maria’s funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, March 5th here for the family at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
