Beverly Wilt, 84, of Worcester passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Worcester to Pearl and Bernard Hebenstreit. Beverly leaves a son, Todd W. Wilt of West Boylston; four daughters, Deborah LaMarche of Worcester, Jane Taglieri and her husband George of Boston, Pamela O’Rourke and her husband David of Worcester, and Rebecca Wilt of Worcester. Beverly was also a beloved “Memere” to her five grandsons: Ryan and Colin O’Rourke, George, Zachary and Trey Taglieri. She also leaves her longtime companion, Gino Federico. She is survived by her sister, Eleanore McDade of Florida. She was predeceased by her siblings: Marlene Holohan, Michael Hebenstreit and Daniel Hebenstreit.
After raising her family, Beverly went back to school to pursue her nursing career. She spent her life in service to others as a nurse at Worcester City Hospital and St. Francis Home for over 30 years retiring at the age of 79. She enjoyed traveling, summers at Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and time at the beach at Cape Cod and Maine. Beverly loved dancing and also telling jokes to all her family and friends.
The family would also like to thank the nurses at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence of Worcester.
Her funeral is Friday, March 5th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, March 4th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cape Cod Alzheimer’s Family Support Center, 2095 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631. All COVID 19 protocols will be adhered to, including social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
