Gloria “Glo” Myrdek, 89, of Manchester, NH, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021, peacefully at her home. She was born on February 10, 1932 in Londonderry, NH, a daughter of the late George Gagne and Beatrice (Ashford) Gagne Wright. She worked at Chicopee Mills, Velcro USA, and Walmart in Bedford, NH.
Gloria was a member of Bethany Chapel, Faith Baptist Church and Merrimack Street Baptist Church. She made up personal item bags for Helping Hands Christian Care Ministries faithfully these past 15 years. Gloria immensely enjoyed a variety of animals, domestic and wild, to the point that people would bring her injured and unwanted pets for her to adopt. Her English Bulldog, Lola, was treasured and the love of Gloria’s life.
Gloria is survived by her two sons, Keith Myrdek and Gary Myrdek, both of Manchester, NH; two daughters, Cheryl Campbell and her husband James of Hampton, NH, and Dona Myrdek Blais and her husband Denis of Manchester, NH; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, as well as several great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria has two sister-in-laws, Priscilla Masse of Concord, NH and Helen Myrdek of Manchester, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Myrdek Jr and her eight siblings.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, graveside services will be held in the spring at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Road, Manchester, NH 03102.
