WORCESTER___Dorothy V. Sinkavitch, 90, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Care One of Millbury.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Stella (Rosky) Sinkavitch and her brother John Sinkavitch, Jr. Dorothy leaves many cousins, relatives and friends especially her dear friend, Rita Skamarock. She was known as “Aunty Dot” to her family. Dorothy was godmother to eight children.
Dorothy graduated from the former High School of Commerce. She retired from the former Norton Company after over forty years of service. Dorothy was past president of Norton Women’s 25-Year Club, Norton Alumni Club and the Knights of Lithuania Council 116. She was a longtime member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence. Dorothy loved to travel and visited many countries. Her most memorable trip was to Lithuania. She was very proud of her Lithuanian heritage. Dorothy was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Vilna Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Church at Holy Family Parish, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester, with her cousin Rev. Msgr. Robert K. Johnson as celebrant. A calling hour will be held in the Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday. Current guidelines for capacity, wearing facemasks and social distancing will be followed. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
