Gertrude Fifie Metayer (49) of Boston died February 13th in the Massachusetts General Hospital.
She was born in Gonaives, Haiti, daughter of the late Luddvic Metayer. Gertrude was a nurse and a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Church in Boston. She enjoyed life and caring for her family and friends.
Gertrude is survived by 2 sons, Jawson Metayer and Vince Jovhani Jean both of Boston, 3 daughters, Abigail Trudy Jean, Ivaldina Kenya Jean and Paule Toussaint Metayer all of Boston, a brother Belanget Metayer of Florida, 2 sisters, Marie Ange Metayer of New York and Raymonde Metayer of Florida, her dear friend Fekens Jean.
Funeral Services in the Bethel Tabernacle Church, 12 Bicknell Street Dorchester Thursday March 4th at 11 am. Burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway Boston. Viewing in the Church from 10 am prior to services.
