Betty Jones Blalock, 89, of Tifton passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, at Legacy Village in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Blalock will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed during the visitation and the funeral service.
Born September 22, 1931 in Eastman, Mrs. Blalock was the daughter of the late Johnny Jones and Omie Evans Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Levi Blalock, Sr.; one son-in-law, David Goode; one sister; and one brother. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Blalock is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Luther Jr. and Gail Blalock and Randy and Lynn Blalock, all of Tifton; one daughter, Retha Goode of Tifton; one brother, Charles Jones of Tifton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Dustin and Jennie Goode, Christy and Kris Richardson, Lindsay and Austin Vowell, Whitney and Luke Jordan and Garrett Blalock; and ten great-grandchildren, Kynlee Jordan, Greyson Jordan, Levi Jordan, Emory Jordan, Leyton Vowell, Brighton Vowell, Gracie Goode, Taylor Goode, Rylan Goode and Jordan Houle.
