83, of Marblehead, beloved wife of the late Dr. Norman “Eppie” Epstein, died February 22nd. Born in Chelsea, she was raised and educated there and moved to Marblehead when married. In her 30s, she attended Tufts University and earned a degree in 3 years in Early Childhood Education, followed by a Master's Degree in Counseling. Roz was very involved in the early childhood program at the Jewish Community Center in Marblehead, and worked at Reading Memorial High School as a guidance counselor for many years. Founder of Music by Roz, she was a fabulous musician and entertainer, playing everything from show tunes to jazz in "gigs" throughout the Boston area. Roz was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Levine) Weiss, and is survived by Dr. Jay Epstein and his wife Stephanie, her adored granddaughters Laura, Nancy & Melissa Epstein, her daughter Ellen Epstein and her dear cousins Joan Livingston and Francine Goldstein all of Marblehead. She is also survived by Roz and Judy Weiss, and was predeceased by her brother Melvin Weiss. Due to Covid-19, private graveside services were held at Chebra Kadisha of Chelsea Cemetery, Everett.
