Carmen Suzanne (Sue) McQueeney passed away peacefully on her birthday after a period of declining health. Sue was born in Manchester on February 19, 1938 and was the daughter of Damien Emile Boisvert and Noella (Michaud) Boisvert. She was a loving, caring, and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her accepting, kind and gentle heart was open to everyone and she was always there for her family and friends. She spent many years working as an office manager for various firms bringing them her special touch. A life-long skier, Sue also created and ran the very successful Mountain Host Program at Bretton Woods Ski Area for many years. Later this expanded to a Tour Guide Program at the Omni Mt. Washington Hotel. Her work on these successful programs brought her much happiness and regard.
Sue is survived by her husband of 63 years, Owen “Mac” McQueeney and their two children Mary Irons and Michael McQueeney, as well as grandchildren Hilary, Asa and Lydia Irons; Molly and Matthew McQueeney; and great-grandchildren Tessa Irons; Lephia and Sonja Irons; and Wren and Reed Owen Sivel-Irons. She is also survived by her sister Jocelyn Soderberg, and brothers Damien, Ron and Dennis Boisvert. She is our own angel.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 22, 2021. A celebration of life open to extended family and friends will be held at a later date.
