George E. Fowler, 72, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Carver, VA to the late George and Bettie Powell, both of Halifax, VA.
He was employed as a chef at Faulkner Hospital in Boston.
George enjoyed music, cooking, carpentry, and cheering on the New England Patriots. He served the Lord as an elder at City of Joy Church in New Bedford.
George is survived by his wife, Catherine Goodine Fowler of New Bedford; his children, Lisha Love-Tartt and her husband Kelvin, Terrance Creech, Michael Creech and his wife Tamara, all of Boston, and Xernona Royal of Georgia; his step-children, Madge Brathwaite of Florida, Shalonda Oyebamiji and her husband Ebenezer, Shawnine Goodine, and Shanika Goodine, all of New Bedford; his sister, Ruth Thomas of Georgia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Lille Wilson and Robert Fowler.
