FALL RIVER…Henry J. “Hank” Rodzen passed away Friday February 5th at age 73. Henry was born in Fall River, the son of the late Henry Louis Rodzen and the late Katherine (Polka) Rodzen. Hank worked as a mail clerk at Brown University until he retired.
Hank was dedicated to amateur radio. He received his license as a teenager when knowing morse code was required. He was proud of his call letters, K1EYG. He was a kind soul, and also proud of his Polish heritage. Henry was a history buff and was also very inventive.
He leaves behind a sister, Cynthia Rodzen and his cousins: Richard Polka, Valerie Polka, Dorothy Polka, Cecilia Wrobel and her husband Tom, Jennie Chekares and her husband Mark and their four children.
Funeral and calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 9:30 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway, Fall River MA, 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland St. Fall River MA. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours will be held from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM, prior to the funeral. Kindly omit flowers.
