Jeanne M. Bancroft (Houghton), 81 of Millis, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 peacefully at home after a lengthy illness.
Jeanne was a graduate of Wayland High School where she was active in field hockey, cheerleading, business and the arts. Following school she was employed in the blueprint library of Raytheon in Wayland; in office management for Murphy and Murphy Real Estate; and in finance for Annis-Morrill Porsche Audi of Framingham.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Floyd W. Bancroft, who died in 2002. Mrs. Bancroft is survived by her 2 daughters Jill Somers (Bancroft) and her husband Mark Somers of Wrentham; Terry Bancroft of Franklin; her granddaughters, Kelly and husband Colin Feeherry of Franklin; Sarah Williams of Franklin, her grandson Brian Dollaway of Nashville, TN and her great granddaughter, Kelby Feeherry.
She was the daughter of the late M. Eunice and Bernhardt G. Houghton; and sister of the late Kenneth Houghton of So. Bristol, Maine and Bernard C. Houghton of Nobleboro, Maine. She is also survived by her brothers, Ronald F. of West Yarmouth, MA and Richard J. of Marlborough, MA and many nieces and nephews. She was a communicant of St. Anselm's Rectorate in Sudbury for many years.
Due to COVID-19 services will be held privately.
