Patricia (Welch) MacDonald Driscoll, 89, of Whitman, MA, formerly of Rockland, MA, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 10, 2021, at Nemasket Healthcare Center, Middleboro, MA.
Born September 18, 1931, in Boston, MA, she is predeceased by her parents, James and Margaret (Greeley) Welch, her brothers, James, Robert, Richard, and Francis, husband’s George Driscoll, and the love of her life, Ronald J. MacDonald.
During her life, Patricia “Pat” committed her services to the Massachusetts Guild for the Blind, E.T. Wright Shoe, Rockland School System, and Lakeland Power & Electric, Lakeland, FL, retiring to Whitman, MA, to be close to her family. Pat volunteered for many years as a Quartermaster with the Holy Family Defenders Drum & Bugle Corps. It was the highlight of her life as she shared this activity with her children. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. The best part of her travels was her trip to County Roscommon, Ireland, where she met her cousins and extended family.
Pat is survived by her six loving children and their spouses, Patricia & Dennis Reilly, Cavendish, VT; Jeanne & James Turkington, Raynham, MA; Ronald J. MacDonald Jr, New Port Richey, FL; James MacDonald with Judy Cully, Whitman, MA; Scott & Patricia MacDonald, Bridgewater, MA; William & Cathy MacDonald, Abington, MA; her brother William Welch of North Reading, MA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte.58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, followed by a memorial service.
