Robert F. Olson, 81, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Robert was predeceased by his son William P. Olson of Worcester.

He was born to parents Francis and Mabel Olson, on March 4, 1939 in Worcester. He grew up in the Four Corners section of the city. Robert was a graduate of North High School in 1957. He also attended Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester State College. Robert worked for The Wyman-Gordon Company for 42 years from 1957 through 2008 where he started as a mail clerk and worked his way up to become a Senior Systems Analyst.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Judith M. (LaComfora) Olson. His son Robert F. Olson Jr. and his wife Leslie of Fleming Island, FL., daughter in law Phyllis (Phoenix) Olson wife of William, son Edward J. Olson of Bourne, MA., daughter Christine L Olson-Dodd of Uxbridge, MA., and Peter J. Olson and his wife Kerry of Blackstone, MA.
He also leaves his eight grandchildren who were his joys, Samantha Belpido, Chelsea Olson, Shelby Olson, Alyssa Dodd, Erika Olson, Mikayla Olson, Ryan Olson, Sean Olson and Nicholas Olson, as well as two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a very big sports fan as evident by his involvement in the Greendale Men’s Club Golf League at Green Hill. He also was a coach and officer at the Jack Barry Little and East Side Intermediate Baseball Leagues. He also has been a fan of the New York Giants and Notre Dame Football since the 1950s. As well as a loyal fan of the Georgetown Hoyas and the Boston Celtics.

In closing, Robert would like to thank those who helped him on this journey and for those he may have hurt, please forgive me and may we meet again someday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Saint John’s Church 44 Temple Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
