Frank Gracie, Jr, 92, of Punta Gorda, Florida and New Bedford passed away Friday February 5, 2021. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Barao) Gracie.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Frank Gracie and Alice (Botelho) Valencia, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life and wintered in Florida.
He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Frank was formerly employed as a liquor salesman for Charles Gilman and Sons until his retirement.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Whaling City Golf Course and was an avid barbershop quartet singer for over 60 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Johanna Ubben and her husband Randy; his half-sister, Pamela Francis; his niece, Susan Silva, who cared for him; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late David Paul Gracie and Paul Michael Gracie, and brother of the late Russell Gracie.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
