Obituary

Sacco, Leonard J., age 88, of Norton, formerly of Sharon passed away February 10th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston to Tomaso Sacco and Antonia Garafano. Leo was raised in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School. He lived in Sharon for 35 years before moving to Norton where he resided for 20 years. Mr. Sacco was the founder of Architectural Interiors Inc in Walpole, later moved to Rockland, where he produced Custom Architectural Millwork for many years before retiring. Leo was a proud member and past Captain Commanding of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts, member of Sharon Rotary Club, Sharon Planning Board, The Jesters and the Architectural Woodwork Institute. Beloved husband of Maureen A. (McDonald) and the late Marcia (Blood) and Bette (DeSimone). Father of Stephen L. Sacco and his wife Jeanne of North Andover, Frank J. Sacco and his wife Denise of Bellingham, Leonard J. Sacco of VA, Dawn M. Sacco of Norton, Tonya Bridge and her husband Ron of Norton, and Bradley Fitzhenry and his wife Alyssa of Sharon. Maureen’s family, Michael (son) and his wife Emily, and their children Nathan and Nora. Brother of Florence Sacco of Charlestown and the late Generoso, Carmella, Alessandro, Concetta, Angelo, Teresa, Anthony, Michael, and Anthony.
Also survived by 12 grandchildren: Andrea Sacco, Nicholas Sacco and his wife Julia, Jessica Sacco, Jeffrey Sacco, Lindsey Sacco, Jenna Fitzhenry, Alexa DeRosa, James Fitzhenry, Cameron Bridge, Tyler DeRosa, Payton Bridge Jordyn Fitzhenry and 2 great grandchildren: Riley Sacco, Avery Sacco.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 2-5 pm. Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions only 20 guests will be allowed within the funeral home at once, masks are required and guests should bring their own pens to sign the register book. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. Mansfield, Monday at 10:00. Burial Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. Coast Guard Veteran Korean Conflict.
