Eileen Pendrak Miller, 67, died February 8, 2021 after a battle with brain cancer. She is the beloved mother of Karl, 31, Eloise, 28, and Louis, 22. She is predeceased by her father Leon, her husband Kurt, and her sister Kathleen. She is survived by her mother Dorothy and her siblings John, Margaret, Michael, Steven, Peter, David and Andrew.
Eileen was born in New York State and was her high school valedictorian, a national merit scholar and a flute player at Madison Central School. She graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a BA in History and a Master’s in Library Science from SUNY Albany. After organizing a union as a librarian at the Houston Public Library, she went on to become a research librarian at Price Waterhouse where she met her husband. She later moved on to McKinsey & Company and transitioned to full-time mother after her first son was born. She was remarkably intelligent and an avid reader with a fierce love of learning and knowledge. A forceful and generous spirit, she was welcoming to all she met with a solid capacity to look on the leeward side of a person’s behavior and always give one a second chance. Eileen was gifted with a spiritual quality in her engagement with others and was a vibrant source of energy, support and humor for any who crossed her path. She was most comfortable being the heart of any gathering of family and friends. She is deeply missed.
A memorial service will be conducted, Tuesday, February 16th, in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may gather with the family prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment services will be private. All attending must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing protocols. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in Eileen's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, Attn: Development Dept. 25 Shawmut Road
