Ilda N. (Neves) Alves, 83, of Fall River died February 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, daughter of the late Joaquim and Belmira (DePina) Neves, She lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Fall River.
She was a former member of the Bisca Tournament Club.
Survivors include her 10 children, Alexander Alves, John Alves, Albertino Alves, Angela DaCruz, Setembrino Alves, Luis Alves, Liana Alves, Joaquim Alves, Belmira Alves and Virginia Alves; her siblings, Jose Neves, Zinha Neves, David Neves, Filo Neves and Lena Neves; 35 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Patrick Alves and Jackson Correia and the sister of the late Lidia Neves and Joao Neves.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 19th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, her funeral service and burial will be held privately.
