Norma (Silva) Cabral, 93, of New Bedford passed peacefully on February 4, 2021 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion, MA.
The widow of Alfred Cabral, Norma was born in South Dartmouth, MA and was the daughter of the late Joseph M. Silva and the late Gertrude (Ferreira) Silva. She was formerly a resident of Acushnet, MA.
Before her retirement in May 1990, Norma worked for Kay Windsor/VF Corp. for 42 years as an accountant and office manager.
She is survived by her two daughters: Linda Kasap and her husband John of South Dartmouth, Diane Marques of Marion; four grandchildren: Jason Kasap and his wife Karen; Stephanie Labrecque and her husband Doug; Julien Marques and his wife Kim; and Justin Marques and his wife Krissy; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Carlos Silva and her son-in-law, Julio Marques.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Alden Court of Fairhaven, Sippican Healthcare of Marion, and Fidelis Hospice for the compassion and care they exhibited for Norma and her family.
