Alexander J. Wertz of Delanco New Jersey passed away on Monday Feb 8th, 2021 after reaching the age of 82 from complications developed during Covid-19.
Al was born on September 15, 1938 in Newark NJ to Alexander John Wertz & Lillian Wertz.
Al was retired and prior to that he was as a senior manager within the Drafting & Design departments at Western Electric (Now AT&T), Autodynamics and Symtron Systems.
He was avid bowler his entire life and in his later years bowled in the senior leagues at Laurel Lanes in Maple Shade.
He will be remembered most for his quick wit, sense of humor and the love he had for his wife of 62 years and his family.
He was affectionately known as “Pop” to his children and grandkids
Al leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen, his two daughters, Sharon Rizzuto & Linda Gates, his son Randy Wertz and their spouses Richard Rizzuto and Christa Wertz, along with 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, three brothers, a sister, and other beloved friends and relatives.
He will be missed greatly by all the lives he has touched over the years.
A memorial service will not be held as it is the wish of the family to grieve privately.
