Ronald L. Bishop at 80, of Plymouth, formerly of Bellingham, passed away on February 5, 2021, following an illness.
He was born on February 22, 1940 to Louis Bishop and Rose (Bouley) Bishop in Franklin. After graduation from Franklin High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He worked for many years at AT&T in both Massachusetts and Virginia until his retirement.
Ron loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a devoted and passionate fan of all the professional sports teams in Boston. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his great stories, and his love of family. He touched many lives over the years and will be missed.
Ron was the beloved husband of Patricia (Chiodetti) Bishop. He was the loving brother to the late Norman Bishop and the late Loretta Felice. He was the devoted father of Pamela Perreault and her husband, Edward Perreault of Carpinteria, CA and of Gary Bishop and his wife, Toby Serkin of Sudbury. He was the cherished grandfather of Jared Perreault, Jason Perreault, and Rebecca Bishop.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. Relatives and friends are invited to view the funeral Mass by clicking stmarysfranklin.org at 11AM.
Burial with military honors will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
