WEST BROOKFIELD: Paul R. Fitch, 84, of Wigwam Road died Friday, February 5 in Harrington Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Audrey M. (LaJeunesse) Fitch, two daughters; Linda M. Ahearn and her husband Joseph of North Brookfield and Joan M. Stearns and her husband Wayne of Leicester, three grandchildren Laura M. Rosa and her husband David of Ontario, Canada, Andrew J. Ahearn of Worcester and Paul J. Ahearn of Trumbull, CT, two great grandchildren; Isabella & Alexandra Rosa and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Earl Fitch.
Paul was born in Worcester, son of Clyde F. and Laura M. (Fancy) Fitch. He graduated from Boy's Trade in Worcester. He owned and operated Fitch Oil Company for over 50 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and taking his annual hunting trip to Shin Pond Maine every November, boating at the Cape and flying his plane. His happiest times were spent with his family at their family home in Nova Scotia, Canada. He was a member of the Nimrod Sportsmen's club in Holden.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
