Mrs. Sylvia M. (Ravioli) Ketterle, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Harold C. Ketterle, passed away at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester on Tuesday afternoon, February 2, 2021 after a short illness. She was 95 years old.
Sylvia was born in Malden, Massachusetts, on October 11, 1925 and grew up in West Everett. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harry P. and Nellie C. (Cardinali) Ravioli. She was a graduate of Everett High School and The Chandler School for Women in Boston. Before raising a family she was employed as a secretary at the Boston office of the Phoenix Insurance Company of London. Later in life, she worked in retail sales at the Lechmere department store in Cambridge. Sylvia enjoyed taking day trips and dining out with her husband and friends. Above all, Sylvia was a devoted wife and mother. She truly enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She will be dearly missed.
Sylvia is survived by her loving sons; Glenn P. Ketterle and Stephen C. Ketterle, both of Medford and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rita A. Ravioli.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be privately held.
