David W. Mahoney, Jr., 51 of Worcester, died Wednesday, January 27th at St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Deborah S. (Mulhearn) Kachadoorian; his father, David W. Mahoney, Sr. and his wife, Julie; two half-brothers, Abe Mahoney and his wife, Janelle and Wheat Mahoney and his wife, Jordan; his fiancée, Linda F. Potvin and her children, Jason, Jennifer and Adam Potvin, and their children, Tobias, Malakhai, Maleek, Parker and Hudson; his brother, Scott M. Mahoney and his wife, Dawnmarie Varney-Mahoney and their son Dylan and a niece Maura DiCecco; a sister, Lisa Kachadoorian and her boyfriend, Christopher Allain. He is also survived by his step-father, Thomas Kachadoorian who raised David and was like a father to him and many aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sheri Kachadoorian who died in 2013.
David was born in Worcester, and had last worked as a financial advisor for Bay State Financial Services. His pastimes included golf, fishing, gardening, hiking, being one with nature and biking. He will be remembered for his love of Jazz, card playing and the enjoyment of spending time with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
His funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13th in St. Peter's Church, 929 Main Street. There are no calling hours. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
