Norman R. Simonin, 74, of Westport, peacefully passed on Friday, February 5, 2021 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Silva) Simonin.
Mr. Simonin was born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph N. and Helen (Saucier) Simonin and had resided in Westport for most of his life. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a self-employed contractor for Meteor Construction and he had also worked as plant supervisor at O'Day Boat, Fall River. He enjoyed classic cars and traveling with his wife. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors along with his wife include his 2 sons: Sean B. Simonin and his wife Danielle of Westport and Joshua M. Simonin and his wife Andrea of Dartmouth; 2 brothers: William Simonin and Richard Simonin, both of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Emily, Tyler and Gavin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Gerald Simonin, Robert Simonin and David Simonin.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
