SOMERSET – Humberto Capeto Pereira, age 70, a longtime resident of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the beloved husband of Laurinda Pereira and the son of the late Manuel Joaquim Pereira and the late Ines (Capeto) Pereira.
Prior to retiring, Humberto had been the owner/operator of Fall River Autobody, and he was a parishioner of St. John of God Church along with his wife.
In addition to his wife Laurinda of Somerset, he leaves behind his son: Wayne Pereira (wife Maria Mimoso Pereira) of Somerset; and his daughter: Stephanie Sanford (husband Robert Sanford) of Swansea; a brother: Joseph Pereira (wife Donna Pereira) of Somerset; grandchildren: Bryce Pereira, Robert Sanford Jr., and Jacob Sebastian Sanford. Humberto was the brother of the late Mary Natalie Ledo.
Humberto’s Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10th in St. John of God Church, Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
