Bertha L. Adams, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 31st at Seashore Pointe Wellness Center in Provincetown, where she had been residing for the past year. She was a life-long Provincetown resident.
For several years, after her retirement working for the town, her favorite pastime was sitting in front of the town hall and gathering with her friends. With the help of her devoted son, Ernie, she was able to go there daily, when weather permitted.
She is survived by her daughter, Dot Adams of Wellfleet, two sons Ernie Adams of Provincetown and John Adams of Dennisport, as well as granddaughter Heather Beth Adams. She was predeceased by a daughter, Helen Mary in 1968.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 14th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 15th at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will follow in St Peters Cemetery. Following Covid-19 guidelines for gatherings, face coverings and social distancing, will be followed at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
