Amanda Louise Nadeau of Reading died tragically in an automobile accident on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2006. She was 16 years old.
Amanda was born in Boston on March 26, 1989. She lived in Charlestown for 6 years before moving to Reading. She attended Killam Grammar School and Parker Middle School in Reading and is a member of Reading High School Class of 2007. Amanda was a member of the Girl's Varsity Swim Team and Girl's Varsity Hockey Team. She was also a member of the Girl's Junior Varsity Softball Team and played on the Reading Girl's Summer Select Softball Travel Team.
Amanda is the adored and loving daughter of Louis P., II, and Boston Fire Fighter Julia M. (Rodriguez) Nadeau of Reading. She is the devoted sister of Lauren A. and Kaitlyn M. Nadeau both of Reading. She is the beloved granddaughter of Marie Nadeau and the late husband Louis P. Nadeau of Charlestown and Juan and Lidia Rodriguez of Woburn. Amanda is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Amanda’s Funeral will be held from the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Melrose, on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Amanda’s Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn Street, Reading, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours for Amanda will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, from 3 – 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Wood End Cemetery in Reading.
