Ruth F. (Johnson) Belmosto, age 93, of Brockton, died peacefully at her home, January 31, 2021. Ruth was the wife of the late William A. Belmosto. Lifelong of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Cushman) Johnson and was a graduate of Brockton High School.
For over 30 years, Ruth was employed at Alves Photo Lab in Braintree, and was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Church. She was a gourmet cook who enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and traveling throughout Europe.
Ruth was the loving mother of Ruth Ann Dorr and her husband George of North Port, FL, Joanne Cicchese and her husband Larry of North Easton, Susan Martinez of Palm Coast, FL, Catherine Belmosto of South Carolina and Toni Belmosto-Borges and her husband Kevin of Brockton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; a brother Douglas Johnson and his wife Joan of Raynham and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Carl and Arthur Johnson.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 5, in Christ the King Church at 10:30am, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed in church.
