SOMERSET – Altino M. Arruda, age 69 of Somerset, passed away after a short illness on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Feteiras, São Miguel, Açores, Altino was the son of the late Manuel C. Arruda and the late Maria Jose (Pavao) Arruda.
Prior to retiring, Altino worked as a Cloth Cutter in the Garment Mfg. Industry. He was also an avid New England sports fan and a diehard Alabama Roll Tide fan. Altino also loved spending quality time with his family & friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Arruda and her boyfriend Billy Amaral of Somerset; his grandchildren, Samantha Arruda and Owen Raposo; his siblings: Floriano Arruda, Marie Poirier, and Joseph Arruda; many nieces & nephews.
