Leicester – Paulette L. (David) Wood, 66, of Leicester, died in UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from complications of COVID-19.
Paulette is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 43 years, Kevin M. Wood; two daughters, Jennifer M. Renaud and her husband, Keith of Auburn and Megan R. Wood and her partner, Timothy Broadbent of Hubbardston; a son, Matthew R. Wood of Worcester; three grandsons whom she truly adored, Gavin Renaud, Nolan Renaud and Cade Broadbent; a brother, Alex David; two sisters, Susan Miller and Laura David and many nephews and nieces.
Paulette was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Paul A. and Esther M. (Barrus) David and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1972. Paulette then continued her education at Quinisigamond Community College where she received an associate’s degree in nursing.
Paulette worked her entire career in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse at many hospitals, clinics and nursing homes throughout the Worcester area. When she retired she recently worked in 2020 for the United States Census Bureau.
Paulette was an active member of Saint Joseph – Saint Pius X Parish in Leicester and belonged to the Women’s Club of Leicester.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in St. Pius X Church 1161 Main St. Leicester. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 in the church prior to the funeral mass. Memorial contributions in memory of Paulette may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Road East Brookfield, MA 01515.
