**Updated** A graveside service for Paul and Norma Buckley will be held on Thursday, May 20, at St. Mary Cemetery, 1 Wellesley Ave. Needham, at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
Paul F. Buckley, Sr. Retired Lieutenant, Needham Fire Department. Born in Needham to Leo and Mary Buckley December 15, 1933 and passed peacefully on Cape Cod, January 27, 2021. Paul graduated from Needham High School and joined the United States Air Force, serving in Germany during the Korean War.
Paul returned to Needham becoming a member of the Needham Fire Department, a career which spanned 34 years. Although a true Needhamite, in retirement Paul and his wife Norma spent their years in Naples Florida and Eastham (Cape Cod).
Much loved husband of the late Norma Buckley. Adored by daughters Donna DesRosiers, North Eastham, Lorna Steinruck, Eastham, and son Paul Jr. Kezar Lake Maine and Naples, FL. Brother to John of Cape Cod, the late Leo and Katherine Quimby. Loving grandfather of Summer Steinruck, Amy Cook and Amanda Kotthaus.
Proud member of the VFW and American Legion in both Needham and Naples Florida. Charter member and executive board member of Needham Firefighters Local 1706, Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and the International Assoc. of Firefighters.
Paul and Norma truly enjoyed the beach, but time spent with family and friends was most precious to them.
