Guy Manning Foss, 73, of Franklin died January 29th at his home in the care of his beloved family, following a brief battle with cancer. He was the husband of Linda A. (Winne) Foss for the past 50 years.
Born December 15, 1947, in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the son of the late Guy L. and Mary (Senior) Foss, Guy was raised in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and had lived in Franklin since 1986.
Guy attended high school at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1970. Guy worked for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority for 48 years. where he was the Director of Western Operations at the time of his death.
Guy was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed drag racing, cruise nights with all his friends, and working in the shop every Saturday with his best friend. He loved to care for and show his 57 Chevy Bel Air, his third child.
His greatest joy was being in the company of his granddaughters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Whitney Grandmaison and her husband Jeff of Medway and Robert McLaughlin and his wife Diana of Uxbridge.
He is also survived by his granddaughters, Chloe (6) and Isabella (13).
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation will be held on June 5, from Noon - 1:00p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
