Paxton
Vincent McIntyre, 89 of Paxton died Friday, March 17, in Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Jean M. (McCann) McIntyre; a son, Joseph P. and his wife Heidi McIntyre of Worcester; a daughter, Christine M. McIntyre with whom he lived; a sister, Margaret E. Delaney of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph P. and Margaret G. (Lynch) McIntyre. Two brothers, Stephen C. McIntyre and Joseph P. McIntyre, predeceased him. He attended Commerce High School and graduated from Worcester Academy. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Vincent was a Technician for New England Telephone Company for many years, before retiring. He was a member of St. Columba's Church, the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243, the Paxton American Legion Post #306, the Greendale Retired Men's Club, the Worcester Boys Club Alumni Assoc., and the Pioneers of America Club.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 24, from Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St.,Worcester with a Mass at 10am in St. Columba's Church, 18 Richard's Ave. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 23, from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
