New Bedford – Marya “Mary” Mularczyk, 90, of New Bedford died after a brief illness on March 16, 2006 at Southeastern MA Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Miss Mularczyk was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Jozef and Agnieszka (Prejznar) Mularczyk, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church, New Bedford. The former Berkshire Hathaway Corporation of New Bedford employed her for 40 years as an inspector until her retirement. She was a determined spirit who enjoyed traveling with friends, going to church, loved animals and caring for her pet parakeets.
Survivors include 2 brothers: John Mularczyk and Michael J. Mularczyk both of New Bedford; 3 nieces: Joan Wall, Arlene Owens and Nancy Mularczyk who was also her godchild; a nephew: Robert Mularczyk; several grand nieces & grand nephews; and her honorary granddaughter Maria Gomes.
She was sister of the late Frank Mularczyk and aunt of the late Michael L. Mularczyk and soul mate of the late Ernie Picard.
In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated and funeral services omitted.
