Mary Eileen Scharnowske, 95, of Anderson, Indiana passed away at Bethany Pointe Nursing Home on January 29, 2021 after an extended illness.
Mary was born June 23, 1925 in Frankton to the late Clifford and Magdeline Clevenger. She was a 1943 graduate of Anderson High School.
Mary was employed at Guide Lamp for 30 years until her retirement in 1986. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary was actively involved for many years with the former Anderson Evangelical Church and volunteered numerous times with the Salvation Army.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Scharnowske; brother, Eugene Clevenger; and daughter, Cheryl Wilson. Left to cherish her memory are her son Jay Scharnowske; her granddaughter Tia (Scott) Reisinger; her great grandchildren Elijah, Manny, and Izzy Reisinger; and her sister, Alma Bender.
Mary will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 2nd at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a showing at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 2nd from 10AM-12PM with services immediately following.
