Edna M. Grossi, 90, of Medford, died peacefully Tuesday January 26th at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, Chelmsford.
Born in East Boston, Edna lived in Medford for 52 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Modesta Ferrera both of Genoa, Italy. Edna was a graduate of Winchester High School. She worked for the Medford public school system as a secretary for nearly 20 years until her retirement in 1987.
Edna was the beloved wife for over 50 years to the late William “Bill” Grossi. She was the devoted mother of Paul Grossi and his wife Cindie of Lexington, Donna Belmonte and her husband Thomas of Tewksbury, Joseph Grossi and his wife Maggi of Chaska, MN and the late Steven Grossi, loving grandmother of Emma Schelling and her husband Derek, Peter Grossi and his fiancé Martina Ladich, Clara Burt and her husband Justin, and Michael and Paula Grossi. She was the loving great-grandmother of Sawyer, Max, Sofia, and Oliver. She was the sister of Carol Bourque of North Reading and the late Marie Bille, John, Rudolph and Leonard Ferrera
Edna’s funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, Wednesday February 3rd at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Social distance protocols will be in effect.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Edna’s name to a Covid relief related charity of one’s choice.
