Joseph Driscoll, age 73, of Braintree, passed away on January 27, 2021. Joe was born to Tom and Julia Driscoll and grew up close to his many cousins. Joe was raised and educated in the Savin Hill area of
Dorchester. After high school, Joe enlisted in the Navy and served two years. When he returned from military service, he began his 40 year career at the Boston Fire Department where he achieved the rank of Captain. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in fire science in 1979.

Joe married his wife, Jean Driscoll, in 1974 and they started a family in South Boston before settling in Braintree in 1986, where they still reside. Joe will forever be missed for his sense of humor, devotion to his family and friends, and his upbeat personality. He was the proud Papa of Brody, Alex, Rory, Lucy and Colby. He is also survived by his siblings, Catherine Stefaney of Weymouth and Thomas Driscoll of Hingham.
